Here are the directions to the locations of
Marriage Preparation and NFP programs, arranged by
county.
Bronx
Cardinal Spellman H.S.,
1 Cardinal Spellman Place, at the corner of Baychester and Needham Ave/Spellman Place.
Take New England Thruway (Rt. I-95) to
Baychester Ave. Exit. Cross Boston Post Rd., one
block to H.S. on left. Subway: Use No. 5 to
Baychester Ave., walk two blocks up the hill to
H.S.. Use entrance to H.S. on Baychester Ave.
furthest away from Needham Ave/Spellman Place.
Please do not ring the main doorbell at the
Spellman Place entrance.
Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center,
600 East 233rd Street
Use: #2 train to 233rd St. and White
Plains Rd. Walk one block west on 233rd
St.
Or Metro North Harlem Line to Woodlawn Station.
Walk one block west on 233rd St.

Our Lady of the
Assumption Church Hall, Mahan and
Roberts Avenue.
From the North, take 1-95 to the Westchester
Avenue Exit (8A). At the light, proceed along
service road, and make a right onto Middletown
Road. Proceed to Mahan Ave, turn right. Proceed
to Roberts Ave., and turn right. The entrance to
the church parking lot is on the right side.
From the South, take 1-95 to the Pelham Bay
Park/Country Club Road” Exit (7C). At the light,
turn left and proceed on Jarvis Ave. At
Middletown Road, turn right, then turn left onto
Mahan Ave. Proceed to Roberts Ave., and turn
right. The entrance to the church parking lot is
on the right side. Subway: Take the #6 Train to Buhre Ave. Station. Walk along Crosby Ave., turn
left onto Roberts Ave. to the Church.
St. Barnabas High School, East 241st
Street and McLean Avenue, on the Bronx/Yonkers
border
From the south: Take the Bronx River
Parkway North, to the East 233rd Street Exit.
At the end of the exit, turn left onto Bronx
Boulevard. Proceed to the first traffic
light and turn left onto Nereid Ave.
Proceed to the second traffic light, and you
will see St. Barnabas High School on the left.
Park on the street or in the parking lot at the
end of the High School on East 241st Street.
From the north: Take the Bronx River
Parkway South, to the East 233rd Street Exit.
At the end of the exit, turn right onto Webster
Avenue. Proceed to the first traffic light
and turn left. Proceed to the first
traffic light, and you will see St. Barnabas
High School on the left. Park on the
street or in the parking lot at the end of the
High School on East 241st Street.
By public transportation: Take the #2
subway train to the Nereid Avenue/East 238th
Street Station. Take the #25 Bee Line Bus
(the Westchester County bus line -- free
transfer from the subway) across the 238th
Street Bridge into Yonkers, and you will soon
see St. Barnabas High School on the left.
Get off at the next bus stop, and walk across
the small park to the High School. Or,
take MetroNorth to the Woodlawn station, walk up
Webster Avenue, turn left at McLean
Avenue/Nereid Avenue, and walk up McLean Avenue
to the High School.
St. Frances of Rome
School, 4321 Barnes Ave.
From the North, take the Bronx River Parkway to
the East 233rd Street Exit. At the end of the
ramp, turn left and proceed to the first traffic
light. Turn left onto East 233rd Street and
proceed to the first traffic light. Turn left
onto Bronx Boulevard, and make the first
available right, onto East 236th Street. Follow
East 236th Street and turn left onto Barnes Ave.
The school is at the next corner. Enter through
the main doors on Barnes Ave. From the South,
take the Bronx River Parkway to the East 233rd
Street Exit. At the end of the ramp, go straight
onto East 236th Street. Follow East 236th Street
to Barnes Avenue, and turn left. The school is
at the next corner. Enter through the main doors
on Barnes Ave. By subway, take the Number 2
train to East 233rd Street. Walk up White Plains
Road and turn right onto East 236th Street.
Follow East 236th Street and turn left onto
Barnes Ave. The school is at the next corner.

Raymond's elementary
school auditorium,

Via public transportation,
take the 6 train to Castle Hill
Ave. Exit the train and head to the corner
w/ a restaurant and barbershop. Keep
walking that way, up to Castle Hill Rd.
The church campus is right there, on the corner
of Castle Hill and E. Tremont Ave. Walk
one block on E. Tremont to Purdy St., and you're
at the elementary school.
St. Theresa’s School,
2855 Saint Theresa Ave. (At the corner of
Mayflower Ave., two blocks from Weschester Ave.)
From the North, take the Hutchinson River Pkwy.
south to the Pelham Parkway East exit; stay in
the exit lane and follow it to the right; bear
left (to avoid getting back on the highway) onto
Pelham Parkway South; turn right at St. Paul
Ave.; proceed to 196th St., turn right; proceed
to Mayflower Ave., turn left; proceed to the
corner of Mayflower Ave. and St. Theresa Ave.
From the South, take the Hutchinson River Pkwy.
north to the Pelham Parkway East exit; make the
first right turn onto Mayflower Ave.; proceed to
the corner of Mayflower Ave. and St. Theresa
Ave. By Subway, take the Number 6 to Buhre Ave.;

16. Take Route 6-17 West to Exit 125, South
Street. At the end of the exit turn right and
proceed to the first traffic light. Turn right
onto South Street. At the first stop sign, turn

Ave. The Church is on the left. From the North:
Take Route 17 East to Exit 125. At the end of
the exit, turn right and follow the directions

Holy Child Church,
4747 Amboy Road.
From the Verrazano Bridge, take the Staten
Island Expressway (I-278) to Exit 5, Rt. 440
South/”Outerbridge Cr” (the West Shore
Expressway). Take the West Shore Expressway to
Exit 5, Muldoon Avenue/Arden Avenue. Follow the
service road to the first traffic light and make
a left onto Arden Avenue. Follow Arden Avenue
through nine traffic lights, and just before the
tenth traffic light (Amboy Road) there will be
an entrance to the Church parking lot, on the
right. By public transportation:
Take the x1 express bus to Eltingville Blvd./S.I.R.
Eltingville Station stop. Walk two blocks in
the opposite direction that the bus was
traveling, and turn right (SW) onto Amboy Rd.
Walk about seven blocks on Amboy, and you'll
come to the church on your right.

Mount Manresa Retreat
House, 239 Fingerboard Road.
By car from the Verrazano Bridge: after the
tollbooth, take the Hylan Blvd. Exit; turn right
at the first light (Fingerboard Rd.); enter the
second driveway to Mt. Manresa. By car from the
Goethals Bridge: take the Staten Island Expwy.
to the Clove Rd./Richmond Rd./Hylan Blvd. Exit;
follow the access road for six lights to
Fingerboard Rd. and turn left; Mt. Manresa is
down the hill on the left. Public
Transportation: From Manhattan, take the Express
Bus #X1, get off the first stop after the Varrazano Bridge toll, walk one block away from
the Expressway to the entrance to Mt. Manresa.

to the Friary will be on the right. There is no
convenient public transportation to the Friary.

Take the New York State Thruway to Exit 18.
After the toll, turn right onto Rt 299. Proceed
on Rt 299 to Rt. 9W. Turn left onto 9W North.
Continue on Rt. 9W for approximately 15 minutes.
The entrance to Mt. St. Alphonsus will be on the

Thruway). From the south, Exit 3, turn left, or
from the north, Exit 4, turn right onto Mile
Square Road, to Seminary Ave. Turn left on
Seminary Ave., to the Seminary entrance.
Park in the visitor's parking lot to the left,
and enter through the main Seminary door.
St. Paul the Apostle
School Hall, 622 McLean Ave.
The Church is located two blocks west off I-87
(the Major Deegan Expressway/New York State
Thruway), McLean Ave. exit. The session is
held in the Church hall, under the main church.
Thornwood Conference
Center (Legionaries of Christ),
Columbus Ave., Thornwood.
Take Route 287 (Cross-Westchester Expressway)
to Exit 6. From the East, turn left at the end
of the exit, proceed to the traffic light and
turn right onto route 22 North. From the West,
turn left at the traffic light at the end of the
exit onto Route 22 North. Follow Route 22 North
for several miles, and then turn left onto West
Lake Drive. Follow West Lake Drive over the Kensico Dam to Columbus Avenue. Turn right onto
Columbus Avenue, and proceed approximately 1.5
miles. The entrance to the Legionaries of Christ
will be on your right. From the North or South,
take the Saw Mill Parkway. Look for Exit 27
(Thornwood, Marble Ave.) Marble Ave. turns into
Columbus Ave. 100 yards after the Rose Hill
Shopping Center turn left onto Thornwood
Conference Center driveway. The center is at the
top of the hill.
